Become a 2017-18 Detroit LISC AmeriCorps Member!

Interested in serving your community? Giving back? Gaining experience?

Detroit LISC AmeriCorps is now recruiting members to serve for 10 months at partner sites across the community. Members spearhead valuable projects, engage local residents, and gain an understanding of community development and the profound value of service.

While in service members receive a living stipend and upon completion an education award that can be used toward qualified loans or future schooling.

Detroit LISC Announces $5M School Redevelopment Fund

Partnership with DPS: Adaptive Uses of School Buildings

Detroit LISC is helping Detroit Public Schools address its inventory of more than 80 surplus buildings and vacant lots with a $5 million loan fund for developers looking to repurpose properties into new anchors for high quality affordable housing, businesses and community spaces.
