Rhonda A. Lewis has served as the Executive Director of Greater Newark LISC since January of 2012. Ms. Lewis has a long and distinguished career in community development.  During her decade-long tenure as president and executive director at Bridge Street Development Corporation (BSDC), she built diversified, high-impact organization into one of the premier faith-based community development corporations in New York City serving Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant community.

Prior to joining BSDC, Ms. Lewis served as Director of Economic Development at New York City LISC.  During her seven-year tenure, Lewis played a critical management role in the development of more than $100 million of community development transactions, the delivery of critical technical assistance programming, and the building of relationships with key funders, investors, public officials and community stakeholders.

Ms. Lewis holds a B.A. in Environmental Design and Planning from the State University at Buffalo.

Judith Thompson-Morris came to the Greater Newark & Jersey City LISC in 1995.  Ms Thompson-Morris is responsible for providing technical assistance in addition to underwriting and monitoring loans and grants to our local partners and borrowers.  

A planner by training, Ms. Thompson-Morris has worked previously for the City of Jersey City as a Senior Planner in the Planning Department and Project Manager with the City’s Affordable Housing Division.  A member of the American Planning Association, Ms. Thompson-Morris has a Masters of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University.

Candace Green joined LISC Newark in September 2010. She brings extensive experience working in office, educational and general public settings.  As a consummate professional, Candace offers expert administrative, organizational, leadership, and customer support.  Prior to joining LISC, Candace worked with Brick City Development Corporation.

Jerrah Crowder came to Greater Newark LISC in September 2015 to lead its Income and Asset Building initiatives. Prior to LISC he worked as a financial coach with the Financial Clinic in New York City and a trainer of financial counselors for the New York Public Library system. Although Jerrah has a diverse professional background, having served as a securities-licensed financial consultant in the for-profit financial services market, a New Jersey Planning Official as chairman of Newark’s Central Planning Board, and as a nonprofit development and operations director with Quest Ink Inc in Newark’s South ward, the theme of community development has been the common thread throughout his many years of service here in the Greater Newark/New York area. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Jerrah holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Howard University in Washington, DC.
