October 2013 - Craig Von Deylen is an Indianapolis architect and developer who purchased an iconic arts building with assistance from Indy LISC (one of the other local offices LISC operates). September 2012 - The Price Hill Financial Opportunity Center is one of a national network of LISC-supported centers that help people find and keep employment, make a household budget, and obtain income supports.
July 2012 - Walnut Hills Buy 25 Tuesdays. A resident-created video about a new program to promote the neighborhood's only full-service grocery store. On the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of every month, come spend $25, talk to the manager, and help create a better Kroger experience in Walnut Hills!
November 2011 - Brighton Center FOC. The Brighton Center in Newport, KY helps local families in the tri-state area.
April 2010 - Focus on Avondale. Avondale, a historic district with a rich African American heritage, is one of three neighborhoods in Cincinnati's place matters initiative. LISC has supported commercial and residential development, neighborhood clean-ups and organizing, as well as an award winning community-police partnership.
The community safety initiative in Avondale is administered by LISC, Avondale Pride Center, the Avondale Community Council, Uptown Consortium and the Cincinnati Police Department. Learn more: MetLife award.
