October 2013 - Countless neighbors and visitors showed up to enjoy the delicious food, craft beer, free music and pedestrian-only pavement and grass in the heart of Walnut Hills for the Cincinnati Street Food Festival 2013.

October 2013 - Craig Von Deylen is an Indianapolis architect and developer who purchased an iconic arts building with assistance from Indy LISC (one of the other local offices LISC operates). Check out the video above to learn more about how Craig helped transform this neighborhood hub into a vibrant, bustling commercial center.

September 2012 - The Price Hill Financial Opportunity Center is one of a national network of LISC-supported centers that help people find and keep employment, make a household budget, and obtain income supports. 


July 2012 - Walnut Hills Buy 25 Tuesdays. A resident-created video about a new program to promote the neighborhood's only full-service grocery store.  On the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of every month, come spend $25, talk to the manager, and help create a better Kroger experience in Walnut Hills!


November 2011 - Brighton Center FOC. The Brighton Center in Newport, KY helps local families in the tri-state area.

October 2011 - Price Hill: the Video. Five families tell why they chose to make Price Hill their home and why they love Price Hill Living.

May 2011 - LISC Cincinnati AmeriCorps International Welcome Center. AmeriCorps volunteers at the International Welcome Center help residents, many who are immigrants, adjust to life in Cincinnati. Programs include tutoring for children, ESL classes for adults and other social services.

April 2010 - Focus on Avondale. Avondale, a historic district with a rich African American heritage, is one of three neighborhoods in Cincinnati's place matters initiative. LISC has supported commercial and residential development, neighborhood clean-ups and organizing, as well as an award winning community-police partnership. 

October 2009 - Avondale receives MetLife Foundation Community-Police Partnership award. Avondale was one of only 11 neighborhoods awarded the prize in 2009 from across the country. The community safety effort reduced overall crime by 13%, firearm crimes by 41% and quality of life crimes by 17%.

The community safety initiative in Avondale is administered by LISC, Avondale Pride Center, the Avondale Community Council, Uptown Consortium and the Cincinnati Police Department. Learn more: MetLife award
