On November 18, 2014, over 500 representatives from Detroit community groups, nonprofits, local development firms, philanthropic organizations, corporations and goverment gathered in the Grand Riverview Ballroom to celebrate the contributions of indivudals and organizations working tirelessly to make Detroit a better place for all. The Masco Corproation Foundation served as the presenting sponsor; the annual Detroit Community Development Awards is co-hosted by Detroit LISC and Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD).

With entertainment provided by Nanou Djiapo and C With Insite, MC Rochelle Riley hosted an evening of celebration and inspiration as awards were presented to those making positive impacts in Detroit's neighborhoods. Nominations are submitted to LISC and winners are seletected by an independent panel of judges.

The first ever C. David Campbell award was presented posthumously to Mr. Campbell to recognize his extraordinary leadership and achievements in improving quality of life in Detroit neighborhoods. David Campbell was a founding board member of Detroit LISC.

The event was presented by MASCO Corporation Foundation. Other sponsors included Comerica, DTE, Flagstar, Ford Motor Company Fund, JPMorgan Chase, Quicken Loans, Bank of America, MSHDA, PNC, Urban Partnership Bank, among others.
