Ambassador Programs

        

A number of commercial districts around the country have found that safety ambassadors - typically paid, trained civilians who assist with welcoming shoppers, reporting suspicious activity to authorities and maintaining cleanliness - can be helpful in addressing crime (through improved reporting and proactive communication with police) and improving perceptions of order and safety. The following resources describe successful ambassador programs in place around the country.
