Improved neighborhoods strengthen an area's economy and employment base, stimulating prosperity and enriching the quality of life of its residents and neighboring communities. LISC support has been instrumental in local economic development projects, including the Larkin U Building and Asbury Delaware Church.
Buffalo LISC helps troubled communities become good places to live again by driving economic improvements. We work in neighborhoods that have known little but stagnation and decline over the last few decades. And once there we connect community organizations, business leaders and policy makers to the expertise and capital they need to grow.
Our investments in neighborhoods in Buffalo include: Elmwood Village Association, Jefferson Marketplace, Grant Street, Seneca Street, Beverly Gray Incubator on E. Utica.
