Buffalo LISC plays an important role in affordable housing development through our critical predevelopment and early stage loans and recoverable grant program, which has been an effective tool for early, very risky project support. Our ability to offer flexible, tailored terms to meet specific project needs has allowed us to provide important assistance to many projects; allowing CDCs to properly analyze project feasibility early on without diminishing their own limited development capital.
Our investments include Southwind Landing Senior Apartments, Woodland Place in Lancaster, Kibler Senior Housing in Tonawanda and Victory Ridge Apartments.
Buffalo LISC has helped to provide safe and affordable housing in emerging stabilized neighborhoods throughout the Buffalo Area and surrounding suburbs. Projects include housing on Buffalo’s West Side, Buffalo’s Cold Springs Neighborhood, Buffalo’s Fruitbelt Neighborhood, Wheatfield and Tonawanda, as well as East Side housing opportunities.
Buffalo LISC has helped to provide specialized housing for individuals with disabilities and other special needs through our Cornerstone Manor, Seneca Single Room Occupancies, and Austin Manor housing projects.
